Course
As usual, the opening classic starts in ’t Kuipke in Ghent. The finale of the race begins just after the passage over the cobblestones of Jagerij. Some 42 km before the finish, the Molenberg awaits. After that, the race moves quickly on towards one of the first major obstacles of Omloop het Nieuwsblad: the Haaghoek – Leberg duo. Via the Berendries and Elverenberg-Vossenhol, the peloton then heads towards Muur and Bosberg for the conclusion of the race. The successor of Marianne Vos will be crowned 12 km further at the finish on the Elisabethlaan in Ninove. Download the timetable and roadmap below.

Marianne Vos was at the start of the opening classic in 2024 for the first time in her career and was immediately victorious. On the Muur van Geraardsbergen, she rode away with Lotte Kopecky, Elisa Longo Borghini and Shirin van Anrooij.
